ADVISORY | SMART TOURISM REGISTRATION SYSTEM IN BATANES STARTS JUNE 15

Starting June 15, 2026, all incoming visitors to Batanes, whether for tourism, official business, or other purposes, are required to pre-register through the SMART Tourism Registration System prior to arrival.

This initiative is in accordance with the Province of Batanes’ commitment to sustainable and low-impact tourism, recognizing Batanes as the ancestral home of the Ivatan indigenous people and a protected area in its entirety. The system also strengthens visitor safety, emergency response, and tourism management, considering Batanes’ unique geographic location and weather conditions.

For added convenience, visitors may also register through their accredited tour operators prior to arrival. Registration may likewise be completed online before travel or while waiting for boarding.
