Nominations are now officially open for the MANIPED NU IVATAN AWARDS 2026
The Maniped nu Ivatan Awards is an annual recognition program conferred by the Provincial Government of Batanes in partnership with the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), to outstanding living Ivatan culture bearers whose dedication has significantly contributed to the preservation, enrichment, and promotion of Ivatan Indigenous knowledge, systems, and practices.
The recipient of the Maniped nu Ivatan nu Ivatan Award 2026 will receive a cash prize of ₱40,000, while five finalists will each receive a cash prize of ₱12,000.
How to nominate:
– Anyone from the community may nominate

– Submit your nominations through your respective Municipal Tourism Office on or before September 14, 2026.
